Jacob Whittle had a breakout summer last year, becoming one of the fastest age-group swimmers in history by breaking 50 seconds in the 100m free at age 14. Now 15, Jacob was training hard for the upcoming British Olympic Trials, which have now been postponed. This was a lot for Jacob to take in, but he explained that after last summer, he's had a lot of practice keeping a level head, not getting too excited or too down about any one thing.

We sat down with former Iowa swimmer and coach Emma Sougstad and current Iowa senior Sage Ohlensehlen to discuss Iowa cutting it's swimming and diving programs. The duo described Iowa's program history and what the program has done for them as individuals as well as the communities they're involved in. Sage expressed her concern that this will not only affect the University of Iowa swimmers but the swimming community as a whole, setting a precedent for other major schools to act similarly.

She has confirmed that her DC Trident roster is just about complete, and that through the ISL Solidarity Program, there could be a 4-5 week training camp for all 10 ISL teams in one location come this fall (travel restrictions allowing). Sandeno also gives a very emotional recap on her sisters last chemotherapy session, and the celebration that ensued.
