She remaining positive, and she even swam a 52 100 yard fly and a 1:54 200 yard fly during an intersquad meet at club, Riptide, July 24th 2020. Considering she raced in a practice suit and did those swims in the morning, that's very promising.

Arkansas razorback Anna Hopkin, like many other NCAA athletes, had her collegiate season cut short before she had a full chance to see what she was capable of. After NCAA's were cancelled, Hopkin quickly returned to her home in the United Kingdom where she was able to get in a long course time trial before all pools were shut down, posting a 53.3 100 free, just shy of her best. Since her return to Europe, she's been doing what she can with her new training group under the tutelage of Mel Mashall (known for coaching Adam Peaty).
