We sat down with 2020 Paralympian Jamal Hill, who won a bronze medal in the 50 free at the Tokyo 2020. Hill discusses how Team USA is shaping up for the 2022 World Champs as well as the state of para swimming worldwide through the war in Ukraine. Hill is a spokesperson for the LA 2028 Olympic Games and takes us through what he's doing even now, 6 years out from those USA Olympics.

Matt Sates Discusses Decision to Turn Pro in South Africa, Forego NCAA Career

After one semester at Georgia, South Africa’s Matt Sates, who owns a trio of World Junior Records, has decided to end his very brief NCAA career. This morning, Sates turned pro, signing with the Newton Agency, and will be returning to his hometown of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa to train. Sates had only arrived at the University of Georgia in the U.S. in January, spending roughly 3 months with the Bulldogs before making this decision.

Felicia Pasadyn Graduates Harvard in 3 Years; Will Swim Grad Year at Ohio State Before Med School

Felicia Pasadyn carries a 4.0 GPA and is graduating from Harvard this spring with a degree in Integrative Biology. Pasadyn only spent three years at Harvard and announced she will be grad-transferring to Ohio State as she completes her Master’s Degree in Bioethics. This will be closer to home than Harvard as her hometown is Hinckley, Ohio. Felicia will continue her swimming career while competing for the Buckeyes before attending Med School.

Last month, Pasadyn won the Women's DI Elite 90 award, given every year to the student-athlete who competes at the NCAA Championships and has the highest GPA.

Brent Hayden Chooses Life Outside of the Pool in 2nd Career Retirement

Brent Hayden is a 4x Olympian for and Olympic bronze medalist for Canada. He is the most decorated sprinter in Canadian history and recently announced his 2nd retirement, having retired once in 2012 and then come back 7 years later in 2019. Hayden explains that coming off of the Tokyo Olympics, he had wanted to keep swimming and pursue his 5th Olympic bid for the Paris 2024 Games. However, managing training at the level he needed to as well as the things he wanted to do outside of swimming proved too much this time around, ultimately leading to the world champion stepping away from the pool.
